SS Rajamouli made his directorial debut with Telugu superstar Jr NTR in 2001 film, Student No.1. After that, he has directed number of Telugu movies, but most of us know him as the director of Baahubali, one of the biggest hits.  Post his Baahubali stint, fans have been thronging to theatres to catch up with a Rajamouli directed film.

Baahubali: The Beginning,  Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Magadheera, and Eega are  four of the highest grossing films in the Telugu film industry. These movies of SS Rajamouli have also won international recognization.  Along with Baahubali and Eega, Rajamouli won the esteemed National Award for the Best Feature Film, in 2012 and 2015 respectively. In 2016 he was honored with India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, the Padma Shri and currently he is working for his much awaited project RRR starring Young Tiger Jr NTR and Ram Charan.

Recently during the media interaction, Vijayendra Prasad, the father  of Rajamouli revealed, “ My son Rajamouli rejects around  nine out of the tem stories that I narrate. It is not very easy to impress Rajamouli with a story. He  is one, who only picks the stories that he believes have the potential to make for a compelling visual experience on the silver screens. That could be the reason why  Rajamouli is one of the most successful directors. He never drifts away from them right from the scripting stage.”

RRR is fictional journey of two freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, which is bankrolled by DVV Danayya.
