Vishwak Sen came up with crime thriller drama Falaknuma Das, which was released on 31st May 2019 and received mixed response by the movie lovers and critics on its opening day. The collections of Falaknuma Das at the box office is just average but Vishwak Sen has recovered the film cost in first attempt. The production cost of Falaknuma Das is Rs 3.5 crores and the total cost including promotions is Rs 5 Cr. Apart from acting, Vishwak Sen also directed by produced the movie.
According to the latest update, the producers of Falaknuma Das made a deal with Netfilx that yields them Rs 2 Cr for streaming rights and the makers have already sold out the distribution right of this crime thriller drama for Rs 2.5 Cr to Suresh Babu. The producer have already recovered Rs 4.5 Cr and very soon the satellite telecast deal will also be finalized. In this way Vishwak Sen recovered Falaknuma Das’ cost.
Falaknuma Das is official remake of the Malayalam crime drama Angamaly Diaries. It looks like the controversies surrounding the film have boosted the collections a bit, as the film had a decent hold at the box-office on its first week days. Falaknuma Das completed with NGK and Abhinetri 2 at the box office and all the movies received mixed response on its opening day.
