Post-COVID second wave, the collections trend has changed drastically. There are many inhibitions among the film circles about the performance of the films. There are quite a few films that have been successful post COVID and there is this film that has succeeded in breaking all the inhibitions.
Siva Kartikeyan starrer Doctor, released as Varun Doctor in Telugu, has been a roaring success all over. The expectations on the film pre-release have been not that high but the scenario has changed completely. In Tamil Nadu, on the first day, the film has collected 8 Cr share which is quite an uphill task for many films.
The trend continued and the film has been successful not only in Tamilnadu but also all over. In Telugu too, Varun Doctor is a super hit. The film has till date collected 80 Cr gross in just 12 days and out of these 15 Crores gross is from overseas.
Still, the collections are strong despite new releases. If the trend continues for a few more days, then definitely, Varun Doctor will enter the coveted 100 Cr mark. The film is directed by Nelson Dileep Kumar who is now helming Beast with Vijay.
