Coronavirus is spreading faster than before in this 2nd wave. Many states have opted to go under complete lockdown whereas the others have imposed stricter restrictions. After Kollywood actor Ajith, many actors and technicians in Kollywood are coming forward to help Tamil Nadu in fighting the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. The director Vetri Maaran, Sivakarthikeyan, editor Mohan and his sons Jayam Ravi and Mohan Raja made their contributions to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Now the name of the director Shankar has also been added in this list.
Director Shankar contributed Rs 10 Lakhs (Through Online Transaction) to the CM relief fund in aid of corona relief. The money will help the state Tamil Nadu in the procurement of oxygen cylinders, medicines and other necessary items. Ajith Kumar has donated 10 Lakh rupees to the FEFSI organization amidst this pandemic situation.
The celebrities from the film Industry have been donating and raising funds for the cause. And as a part of helping workers to survive in this pandemic, 2.0 and Robo fame Shankar has donated Rs.10 Lakh to the CM relief fund.
On the work front Shankar will helm Kamal Haasan and Kajal Haasan starrer big budget movie Indian 2. He has also teamed up with Ram Charan for a film.
