We have already reported that Suryadevara Naga Vamsi acquired the Telugu remake rights for Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Prithviraj and Biju Menon starrer Mala Ayyappanum Koshiyum, an intense drama about brothers driven by ego, is all set to be remade in Telugu. Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is still waiting for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s approval. Balakrishna has been approached to play the role of Biju Menon’ but Lion star is yet to watch the movie. The producer is waiting for Balakrishna’s response, if not, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is likely to reprise the role of Biju Menon and Baahubali star Rana Daagubati will essay the role of Prithviraj Sukumaran in the Telugu version of Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
Ravi Teja is showing his interest to act in Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake but everything depends on Nandamuri Balakrishna. However, Krack star may not get to play this character if Balayya Babu agrees to do the remake without asking for major changes.
Ayyappanum Koshiyum is all about the two heroes at loggerheads over a minor legal issue. In this film, Biju Menon essayed the character Ayappan Nair, a policeman, whereas Prithviraj was seen as a retired army havildar Koshy Kurien, who had put in 16 years of service.
