Released in 2014 as a mystery-thriller, Chandoo Mondeti’ directorial venture ‘Karthikeya’ registered a thumping victory at the box office with glowing praises to the edge-of-the-seat narration and gripping screenplay by the debutante filmmaker. Helmed on a shoe-string budget, the film Kartikeya also revived the career of Nikhil Siddharth who was struggling with a string of flops. Now Chandoo Mondeti is coming up with its sequel Karthikeya 2.
Nikhil is doing a sequel to the hit film Karthikeya 2, which is being made on a prestigious note and a lot of money is also pumped in it. Now according to the latest update, Nikhil Siddhartha starrer Karthikeya 2 will have solid VFX. The makers have already started the preparation.
The talk is that the film Karthikeya 2 will have all the same characters from part one and they will face a new challenge. Recently during the media interaction, Chandoo Mondeti said that this kind of film requires a lot of pre-production and the team is making sure things are set really when they go on to the floors.
Karthikeya was a bilingual mystery thriller drama that revolved around Kartikeya temple on the border of AP and Tamil Nadu. The film also featured Swati Reddy, Tanikella Bharani and Rao Ramesh among others in important roles.
