Raashi Khanna in showering praises for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his government for Disha act implementation. It is known news that Andhra Pradesh assembly passed the Disha Bill, named after the 27-year-old Hyderabad vet who was raped and then burned, which mandates cases involving crimes against women must be settled in 21 days through special courts. The Bill also proposes death penalty for rape convicts in cases of sufficient evidence to conclusively prove the crime, among other provisions.
Disha act implemented by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’ government for the safety of women is widely welcomed from all quarters of the people. Raashi Khanna interacted with media last evening and when she was asked about Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’ Disha Bill, to which Srinivas Kalyanam actress replied, “The Disha Act is very constructive and it will bring the fear among the people who will think to commit such heinous crimes on women.”
Raashi Khanna said that those who resort to such heinous crimes on women will be scared thanks to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his government.
Raashi Khanna urged the rest of the state to implement the law.
Venky Mama girl Raashi Khanna concluded it by saying that “Other states should learn from the Andhra Pradesh government in this regard. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’ government introduced the bill to curb the crimes against women and under the Act, the culprit will be sentenced to death if found guilty of rape within 21 days.”
The investigation of such cases will be completed in 7 working days and trial of cases are to be completed in 14 working days. Under the Andhra Pradesh Disha Bill 2019, the death penalty for rapists will be ensured by amending section 376 of the Indian Penal Code.
Those found guilty of harassing the women online through email, social media and any digital mode will be punished with imprisonment which may extend to 2 years on first conviction, and then to 4 years on second and subsequent convictions.
