Death toll due to rains in Andhra Pradesh reached 33 as more bodies were retrieved from flooded streams, at least twelve people were reported missing. As per to government data, the rain and floodrelated death count was twenty in Kadapa, 7 in Anantapuramu, 7 in Chittoor and 2 in SPS Nellore. Temple town Tirupati has never seen this situation in twenty five years,’ said a message accompanied by photographs and videos of the flooding that showed Tirupati and its surrounding areas under water.
Social media is agog with the photographs and videos of the havoc caused by the recent heavy rains and flooding. Tirupati, Nellore and other Rayalaseema regions have been severely hit by the rains. Many families are living in the low-level areas have been left homeless. Now according to the latest report, popular Tollywood production house Geetha Arts made a donation of Rs 10 lakhs to the AP CM Relief Fund.
Theproduction house Geetha Arts confirmed the same by sharing a post on official twitter handle: We have made a humble donation of Rs 10 lakh to @AndhraPradeshCM relief fund to help with the relief measures in flood-affected areas of #TirupatiRains.
Geetha Arts’ gesture will inspire the other celebrities of Telugu film Industry to come forward and donate big to money for the flood victims.
