Ponniyin Selvan is an upcoming historical action drama film written, directed and co-produced by Mani Ratnam, under his production studio Madras Talkies, along with Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Production. The movie has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the crucial role. Now according to the latest report, the look of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from Mani Ratnam’ Ponniyin Selvan has been leaked on the Internet and is going viral on the social media. She will have a double role in the movie Ponniyin Selvan. In one of the role, she will be seen as Nandini and in another role as her mother Mandhakini. Nandini is the main antagonist of this drama.
Coming on the leaked pic, it showed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan standing on a platform in a red silk saree, waving a fan in her face. The actress is wearing heavy gold jewellery, necklaces, earrings, bangles, maang tika and other ornaments. She is also surrounded by members of the crew of the film.
Apart from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Mani Ratnam’ directorial venture also has Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayaram, Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Jayam Ravi and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the crucial roles. Mani Ratnam’ magnum opus is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan.
