Uppena is an upcoming small budget romantic drama in which Vaishnav Tej, the younger brother of Sai Dharam Tej, is playing the lead role. The movie Uppena has already generated good buzz among the movie lovers but the release of film has been postponed due to coronavirus outbreak. Kollywood actor Vijay Sethupathi is playing the role of antagonist in Uppena. Now the reports are coming as Vijay Sethupathi is very impressed with the content of this romantic drama, has grabbed the Tamil remake rights of Uppena.
The sources say that Vijay himself will remake the film in Tamil soon. Initially the makers roped Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi as they wanted to release it i Kollywood. But Vijay Sethupathi has acquired the remake rights of Uppena and the remake will be jointly bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings along with Vijay Sethupathi .
Uppena which has Kriti Shetty in the female lead role, is directed by Buchi Babu. The film is made on a budget of Rs 22 crores.
We have already reported that Uppena girl Kriti Shetty, has signed her next film and she will be seen romancing with Nikhil Siddharth in 18 Pages. On the otherside, Vijay Sethupathi has walked out from Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa.
