Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, SS Rajamouli and Rana Daggubati surely had a gala time together in London. Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning was screened at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 19th October and received standing ovations by the audiences post-screening. During Q & A session, and in an interview, Prabhas showered praises for the sensational filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV and his move Siva.
Rajamouli has got regional cinema to the global level with his directorial ventures Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati received a standing ovation from Indian and Non-Indian fans post the Baahubali: The Beginning’ screening in London. The rumored love birds Prabhas and Anushka Shetty clearly avoided getting clicked in a single frame together.
Post SS Rajamouli’ Baahubali: The Beginning screening, Prabhas attended an interview and spoke about how even before Baahubali, Telugu cinema had a wider reach in the North Indian market. When he asked about the same, Young Rebel star Prabhas said, “Actually 30-40 years ago, Ram Gopal Varma helmed a movie Siva, which also made a great impact on the country.”
Baahubali star Prabhas added, “Rajamouli’ historic and war drama Baahubali crossed the boundaries. We wanted Baahubali to be big, but we did not expect it to so big in north India. Baahubali became hit with the audience from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Japanese.”
Ram Gopal Varma’ Siva is an action entertainer in which Nagarjuna Akkineni and Amala played the lead roles and the movie was released in 1989. The film became a blockbuster. Ram Gopal Varma’s directorial venture was screened in the mainstream section of the International Film Festival of India, in 1990.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is working with Radha Krishna Kumar for his upcoming film Jaan which has Pooja Hegde in the female lead whereas Ram Gopal Varma is busy in his upcoming controversial movie Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Reddlu.
