www.tollywood.net has already reported that Mahesh Babu, who has already ventured into the multiplex business in association with Asian Cinemas, has also entered in web series world. Now according to the latest update, Mahesh Babu’s web series has been titled ‘Charlie’. Meeku Meere Maku Meme director Hussain Sha Kiran, well-known for writing the story of Jr NTR and Sukumar’s Nannaku Prematho will be wielding the megaphone for this web series and regular shoot is expected to commence very soon.
The sources close to Mahesh Babu reveal that the web series has been titled Charlie and that it will pan out for three seasons of eight episodes, each of one hour duration.
The sources confirmed the news that a total of 24 episodes have been conceived and a strategically division will be done season wise. Pre-production work has been already started and the casting process is on as well. An assistant of well-known DOP Prasad Murella, Nivas is going to handle cinematography for this series and Baahubali fame music composer MM Keeravani’s son Kaala Bhairava is on the board to render the tune.
A part of Mahesh Babu’s web series Charlie will be shot at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad whereas another set is being erected close to the city’s airport.
Charlie is a joint production of Mahesh Babu’s MB Entertainment and Jio.
In the meantime, Mahesh Babu is busy with shooting for Maharshi, which is being directed by Oopri fame Vamsi Paidipally and is bankrolled jointly by Dil Raju, Ashwini Dutt and PVP. It is a big budget project with a major portion of it being shot in the United States. Maharshi is about friends played by Mahesh Babu, Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde. The sources say that Mahesh Babu will be seen in five different get-ups in the film and that the transition of his character will be from a college student to an entrepreneur.
