Kajal Aggarwal connection with Muthayya

Kajal Aggarwal unveils the poster of debut director Bhaskar Maurya’s Telugu film Muthayya. The Telugu film Muthayya has been selected for screening at the UK Asian Film Festival and the movie will premiere at Rich Mix, London, on 9th May.

The first poster of Muthayya was launched by Kajal Aggarwal on social media, that showcases an elderly man staring at a big screen. The movie is directed by debutant Bhaskhar Maurya, Divakar Mani is the cinematographer and Karthik Rodriguez is the music composer.

The film Muthayya is funded by Vrinda Prasad under Factionary Entertainment, and presented by Kedar Selagamsetty and Vamsi Karumanchi of Hylife Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

Acharya USA premieres pre sales report

Acharya starring megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde is gearing up for the grand release on 29th April. The movie helmed by Koratala Siva, is carrying decent buzz among the movie lovers. According to the latest report, Acharya has earned$287,778 from USA (Pre sales). Niranjan Reddy and Anvesh Reddy of Matinee Entertainments bankrolled Acharya with Chiranjeevi in the titular role. The film also stars Ram Sonu Sood and others in pivotal roles. Regina Cassandra will be seen shaking a leg for the special song.

The trailer of the movie Acharya was released earlier this month, showing glimpses of the plot. Chiranjeevi and Ram charan play comrades, seemingly a part of a Naxalite movement.

KTR comments on Adipurush: Prabhas starrer is being made to brainwash youngsters

Telangana Minister KTR has alleged that the BJP- Bharatiya Janata Party is using cinema to target the youth in India and mix the nationalism and the communalism. During an interview, KTR said that even the movies are not being spared from being used as tools to BJP’ agenda. He added that BJP is indirectly funding Prabhas starrer upcoming Pan India film Adipurush. They don’t fund the movies like The Kashmir Files and Adipurush directly.

KTR made comments on Adipurush in which Prabhas and Kirti Sanon are playing the lead roles under the direction of Om Raut. He added that around 16 movies are being made to spread the BJP’s ideology and Adipurush is one of them. The movies like URI – The Surgical Strike, The Kashmir Files and few movies of Akshay Kumar are being released to spread BJP’s Hindutva ideology.

The Kashmir Files, helmed by Vivek Agnihotri starring Anupam Kher is based on the killings and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir valley. It was highly endorsed by the Bharatiya Janata Party government, with multiple BJP led states making the film tax free. It was highly controversial.

KTR suggested that Adipurush and other alleged pro-BJP films are being made to brainwash the youngsters.

KTR predicted that Adipurush might get a release during the election time so that it can influence voters and make them think about Lord Shriram.

KGF 2 at No 5 in the World with Total Gross – $114.93 Million

The action drama has emerged as a blockbuster at the global box office.

The movie which also has Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt in the supporting roles, is having a phenomenal run at the box office not just in India, but abroad also. The tickets for the Prashanth Neel directorial are selling like hotcakes as it has already collected above Rs 7500 crore at the worldwide box office.

Sanjay Dutt will be seen as the main antagonist Adheera, Raveena Tandon as Ramika Sen, India’s Prime Minister in 1980s, whereas Srinidhi Shetty as Reena Desai, Rocky’s love interest.

On the otherside, Shahid Kapoor starrer sport based movie Jersey is giving a tough competition to KGF 2 at the box office.

Open firing in a theater during KGF 2 screening

Yash and Srinidhi Shetty starrer action thriller drama KGF 2 is running successfully in theaters across the nation and is winning the hearts of the movie lovers. A shocking incident that happened in a theater in Karnataka during KGF: Chapter 2 screening caught the attention of the locals.

According to the latest update, a young man who was watching KGF : Chapter 2 in a theater located at Shiggaon in Haveri district in Karnataka, got angry with a person who put his legs on the front seat. It made the young person angry and he left the theatre and returned with a pistol,and opened fire in the theatre a couple of rounds at Vasanth a couple of rounds at Vasanth while watching KGF 2.

Vasanth Kumar Shivapura, a resident of Mugali village was seriously injured in the incident. He had been admitted to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi. The sources say that currently he is in the ICU and his condition is said to be serious. The shows of KGF 2 were cancelled after the incident. The shooter has gone missing and the cops are on a lookout for him.

The police said that Vasanth Kumar had come to watch Prashanth Neel’ magnum opus KGF 2 with his four friends and he was hit by two bullets in abdomen and thigh. The miscreant had fired 3 bullets from a revolver.

Mike Tyson punches airline passenger: The 55 years old boxing legend Mike Tyson lost his cool and punched a fellow passenger on a US flight. The act was caught on camera by fellow passengers and the video soon went viral on social media. He punched a fellow passenger on a flight from San Francisco to Florida on 20th April.

The video showed that the former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson smacked an over eager fan in the seat directly behind him. A witness revealed that a man and his friend greeted Mike Tyson while boarding the flight and interacted with him. Soon, Tyson got tired of engaging with his fans and he asked them to keep quiet. But the man continued to speak which irked Mike Tyson. He got out of his seat and started throwing punches. The bloodied passenger was seen looking sad in the clip.

A passenger on the flight said she saw the man who the boxer Tyson punched at an airport bar earlier appearing loud and quarrelsome.

Director Maruthi father Dasari Vana Kuchala Rao passes away

Maruthi Dasari , the director, screenwriter, producer who works primarily in Telugu cinema is best known for making small budget movies. He is known for directing the movies like Ee Rojullo and Bus Stop. The talented film maker Maruthi is associated with Maruthi Talkies, a film production house in the Telugu film industry. Now according to the latest update, Maruthi’ father Dasari Vana Kuchala Rao passed away. He took his last breath in the wee hours of Thursday at Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh. He was 76.

The sources say that Dasari Vana Kuchala Rao was suffering from severe health issues for a long time and that was the main reason for his death. His sudden demise made Maruthi and his family sad.

Maruthi Dasari started his career as a co-producer for the film Premisthe, A Film by Aravind. Later he entered into the field of distribution. Then he started designing Ads and designs. Maruthi has also given a logo for Chiranjeevi starrer Athadu. In 2011 RGV made Dongala Mutha with a 5D camera on a cheaper budget which was attracted by Maruthi Dasari. He then decided to start a low budget movie.

Currently Maruthi is working for his upcoming project Pakka Commercial which has Gopichand in the lead role. He is also in the talk of Prabhas’ film.

RRR Vs KGF 2 Vs Beast New Zealand and Australia Box office Collections

RRR, KGF 2, Beast Box office Collections: RRR, helmed by SS Rajamouli starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and others was released on 25^th March and according to the traders report, on 20^th April RRR minted NZ$462,613 and A$3,527,576 from the box office of New Zealand and Australia respectively.

KGF 2 helmed by Prashanth Neel starring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon which has turned out money spinner at the box office, is creating history at the box office. The action thriller drama KGF: Chapter 2 has earned NZ$433,025 and A$2,701,210 from New Zealand and Australia box office respectively.

On the otherside, Beast which has Vijay and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles, helmed by Nelson, has collected NZ$58,636 and A$589,081 from the box office of New Zealand and Australia respectively on 20^th April.

After receiving backlash for promoting a pan masala brand, B Ton actor Akshay Kumar announced that he has stepped back as ambassador and apologised to his fans saying that he would be more cautious about the brands that he endorses in the future.

Bachchhan Paandey actor wrote on Twitter: I am sorry. I would like to apologize to you, all my fans and the well-wishers. Your reaction over the past few days has deeply affected me. While I have not and will not endorse the tobacco, I respect outpouring of your feelings in light of my association with the Vimal Elaichi. I step back and i have decided to contribute the entire endorsement fee towards a worthy cause.”

The apology from Akshay Kumar came after he was massively trolled for his association with the pan masala company.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar was last seen in action drama Bachchhan Paandey. He will be next seen in Ram Setu, Raksha Bandhan, Prithviraj and Selfiee.
