Record starts for Nani starrer Jersey

Natural Star Nani‘ cricket backdrop film Jersey is carrying good buzz among the trade circles. As the movie is gearing up for grand release, the makers have started the promotional activities of the film.  Since the content of Nani starrer appears to impress youth and families good pre release business numbers are being recorded for the film. Jersey has done record pre-release business.

According to the latest update, the rights of Jersey for Andhra area was sold in the range of Rs 11 to Rs 12 Cr, whereas Nizam was given for Rs 8 Cr. The Ceded and Overseas rights together sold out for  Rs 8 Cr. Karnataka theatrical rights was sold out for Rs 2.5 Cr . Jersey has done approx.  Rs 31 Cr theatrical business. This is huge amount considering that Nani’ recent movies didn’t succeed at the box office. The Digital, satellite and Hindi dubbing rights of Nani starrer Jersey altogether brought in Rs 12 Cr additionally.

Jersey  is a sports based drama in which Nani is playing  the role of a cricketer. Shraddha Srinath is debuting in Telugu film Industry with this film and she will be seen romancing with Nani. The film is  directed by Gautam Tinnanuri of ‘Malli Raava’ fame  and is produced by Naga Vamsi whereas Anirudh Ravichander  is rendering the tune. Jersey is made up of with the budget of Rs 22 Cr and is scheduled to hit the theaters on 19th April.
