Remembering 26/11India marks the 10th anniversary of Mumbai terror attacks today on  26/11 that left 166 people dead and over 300 people injured.

On November 26, 2008 (26/11) terrorists from Pakistan unleashed a wave of violence across Mumbai that lasted 3 days and played out on news channels around the world.

On 10th Anniversary Of 26/11 Attacks, Mumbai Police are paying Tributes.

The 2008 Mumbai attacks (also referred to as 26/11) were a group of terrorist attacks that took place in November 2008, when 10 members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, an Islamic terrorist organisation based in Pakistan, carried out a series of 12 coordinated shooting and bombing attacks lasting four days across Mumbai. The attacks started on 26th November and lasted until 29th November 2008; at least 166 people died and more than 300 were wounded.

Over 60 hours 4 attackers shot dead the guests and hotel staff, detonated the explosives and set parts of the building  including its famous dome on fire.

Relatives of the victims will lay wreaths at a police memorial honouring the dead. Devendra Fadnavis , the Chief minister of Maharashtra will attend the ceremony.

The Tower Hotel and Taj Mahal Palace will hold a private service to remember the 31 people who died there.

 Arun Jaitley, the Finance Minister, on the tenth anniversary of Mumbai terror attacks wrote on Twitter, “We stand resolute & united against terrorism. Remembering 26/11/2008.”

 Hansika Motwani wrote on twitter, “Remembering 26/11. Salute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives saving others.”
