Meena opens up about Compromise

Meena, who has shared the screen space with number of top stars like Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Venkatesh Daggubati, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mohan Babu, Superstar  Krishna, Vijayakanth, Ajith Kumar, Prabhu Deva, Sarathkumar and Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, opened up about the dark side of film Industry- The Compromise/ Commitment/ casting couch/ Sexual harassment. After  the marriage Meena took break from acting  field and  later she made her comeback with Victory Venkatesh starrer  Drishyam. Meena’s daughter Nainika was also seen in Vijay Starrer Theri, which was hit at the box office. Recently during the media interaction, when she was asked about casting couch, she confirmed that Casting couch exist in entertainment Industry.

Meena said,  “The sexual harassment exist in all the fields. Though I haven’t faced it but it is common in all working field.  Casting couch used to exist in our times as well. But now Men must change their mindset towards women. They should keep in mind  that they have wives, sisters, mothers and children. Female should get the chance in the film Industry only on the basis of their talent.”

 On the workside, Meena was recently seen in Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas and Pooja Hegde starrer Saakshyam, which was disaster at the box office. Meena essayed the role of Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas’s mother in this film, directed by Sriwass.

It is known news that the Telugu actress Sri Reddy is fighting against  casting couch and in tehmonth of April, the actress also stripped in from of MAA office. Sri Reddy  also claimed that the film makers in Tollywood  prefer casting girls from Mumbai in their films and ignore the local talent. Thereafter, she levelled a host of allegations against the likes of Natural Star Nani, Abhiram Daggubati and Koratala Siva and this left everyone in a state of shock. From Kollywood, she said She has shared her bed with Raghava Lawrence, A R Murugadoss and srikanth. Recently Andrea Jeremiah spoke in the support of Sri Reddy and now Meena has also confirmed the casting couch exists in South Indian Film Industry.
